There are various opportunities on the net that made someone to earn extra money online, the most popular of them all is adsense. However, there is another program that I used, besides adsense, to make my blog earn money today and that is Kontera, this is in-text advertising where in it can run together with google ad and not against adsense terms.

How to implement Kontera in your blog? Implementing Kontera in your blog is as easy as implementing adsense.

  1. Just sign-up for a Kontera account. Once signing-up you will be prompted to a window containing the application form. Filled up this form completely then submit.
  2. Once the application form was submitted, wait for Kontera notice thru email informing you that your application was approved.
  3. When you get approved, login to your Kontera account. Set-up your Kontera ad code by choosing the “contentlink setup” tab.
  4. You can customize the color of the link you want to appear on your blog on the content link color. Just filled in the color code on the color box.
  5. Once you decided on the link color, just copy the Kontera ad code then paste the code on your blogger template, it should be place just before the </body> tag on your blog where you want the ad appear. Then it’s up for Kontera to provide ad on your blog that matches your content.
After placing the Kontera ad code, it will take up to 24 hours before the in-text ad will appear on your blog. No further action is required on your side just wait until the ad is gone live, then once a visitor clicked on the in-text ad you will get paid, like adsense the payout limit for Kontera in $100, which means that your earnings must meet this amount before you receive any payment. My earning in Kontera is not that much compare to my adsense income maybe because in adsense I have implemented high paying adsense keyword on my content, but at least it just enough for the payment of my blog domain name.

Optimizing Title Tags for Search Engine Friendly Website

One of the determining factors of getting more visitors is by having search engine friendly webpage. When your website likes by search engine, you will have a steady flow of traffic, and traffic means increase in adsense income. There are several ways how to make your website search engine friendly and one of those is by implementation of mate tags, on my previous post I discussed, how to optimize your website using this Meta Tags, the description tag and keyword tag. Now, I will discuss another tag that you can implement on your webpage, the tag is the title tag.

The title tag tells the search engine what to display on the search results as well as what text to display on the title bar of your internet browser. Title tag is very important in making your web page search engine friendly that is why all website are having this.

When implementing title tag used the code below. The code must be place on the head after the <head> and before the </head>.

The location of the title tag must be on the upper portion of your webpage, or else the search engine might not find them and it will not be displayed on your browser. Also when creating your title tag, ensure that the important keywords of your website is use and in place.

So, there it is another tag to implement on your website. Implementing Meta tags is one of the simplest ways to make your website like by search engine. Just a simple make over and your site becomes search engine friendly website.

Building traffic for your blog is one of the key steps in having high adsense revenue. Without traffic, your blog will not earn money. Promoting your website is one way of building traffic. Some of the promotional strategies that can be done are by submitting your blog to social networking sites, answering questions from a site that provides this kind of services, and forum discussion. Those sites can deliver visitors into your blogs.

Promotional strategies that can be done on your blog

Submit your blog to social networking sites. There are a lot of sites where you can submit an article to gain traffic. Once you created a post from your blog, sign up on one of these sites then submit your article.

  1. Blog Engage, this was the first site where I submit my articles, once your blog is submitted on blog engage, it will get an instant promotion on the front page, plus your blog will have a chance to be reviewed.

  2. Blog Catalog, this blog directory is popular among bloggers. When you’re looking for blog promotion, submit your blog here. It will take 24 hours to get approval once your blog was submitted. Once approved you can start interaction with other members. You can even create discussion as well as send message with other members.

  3. MyBlogLog, when you have yahoo id, you can easily access this sites. Use your yahoo id and password to get inside then submit your blog. Same with blog catalog you can also interact with other members. You can add community to your blog and become member also with other community.

  4. Entrecard, this social network provides banners that you can display on your blog. Once another member drop a card on the banner you will earn Entrecard Credits, this credits can be used to purchase ad on other site with Entrecard widget to promote your blog this Entrecard Credits can also be used to purchased products available o Entrecard store.

The next promotional strategies is by answering questions on sites that provides this kind of services from their visitors, sign-up to this site and answers all questions that are related your blog. You can provide sources link pointing out to your blog when answering questions.

Site that provides answers to every question visitors asks
  1. Yahoo Answers, this is a site where everyone can ask or answers questions from other people. Sign in using your yahoo id then answer questions that are related to your blog. You can provide link of your blog in to the source box to drive visitors into one of your post.

  2. Answerbag, same with the yahoo answers, the purpose is to answer or ask questions for anything. Sign up on this site and answer questions that are related to your blog and then provide a link that pointed out to one of your post that can answer the questions.

Forums are also one way of promoting your site. Get involve in discussion that is related to your blog, forums can provide links to your site by including your site into the user signatures, once you post or reply to a topic this signatures will appear. You can also leave sources link pointing to your blog when discussing related topics.
